Sizing and Fit

Can you wear the Made for Muffs hat without earmuffs, and still be protected from the sun?

No. Not completely. The hat is designed for use with your existing muffs or headphones. Our aim was for a simple, affordable hat that lives in conjunction with your head gear.

How do I measure my head to find the right size?

Use a soft measuring tape (or a piece of string you can measure later).

  1. Wrap it around your head where your hat will sit — just above your eyebrows and ears, keeping it level all the way around.
  2. Pull the tape snug but not tight (you want the hat to feel comfortable, not squeezed).
  3. Note the measurement in centimetres — that’s the size to order.

If you’re between sizes, we recommend going up a size for comfort.

What if my hat or muff doesn’t fit properly?

Don’t stress — we want you to love the fit. If your hat or muff feels too loose or too snug, you have a couple of options:

  • Adjust or add padding: Many earmuff styles let you tweak the fit or add a thin hat filler strip for a snugger feel.
  • Exchange for a different size: As long as it’s in new condition, you can send it back for another size.
  • Return for a refund: If it’s just not working for you, we’ll process a refund once the item is returned.

Shipping and Delivery

What are your shipping options?

We currently offer standard shipping only — both within Australia and internationally — using Australia Post.

  • Australia: Standard shipping usually arrives in 2–6 business days after dispatch.
  • International: Standard shipping typically takes 7–21 business days, depending on your country.

You’ll receive a tracking link as soon as your order ships so you can follow it along the way.

Do you offer free shipping above a certain order value?

Yes for Australian orders we offer free shipping for orders of four hats or more.

How long will it take to receive my order (domestic & international)?

Returns, Exchanges and Refunds

What is your return & exchange policy?

We want you to love your Made for Muffs gear! If it’s not quite right, you can return or exchange it within 30 days of receiving your order.

  • Exchanges: You’re welcome to swap for a different size, colour, or style — just send the item back in new condition (unworn, with tags/packaging intact). Postage for sending the item back is covered by the buyer.
  • Returns for refund: If you’d rather a refund, we’ll issue a full refund (excluding your original shipping cost) once we receive the unused item back.

What happens if my package is lost or damaged in transit?

All our orders are shipped with tracking via Australia Post for peace of mind.

  • If your package seems lost, first check your tracking link for updates. Sometimes parcels are delayed or waiting at your local post office.
  • If it’s confirmed lost or arrives damaged, contact us at enquiries@madeformuffs.com.au as soon as possible. We’ll open an investigation with Australia Post and work with you to replace or refund your order.

Please report any issues within 7 days of delivery (or expected delivery date) so we can help quickly.

Who pays for return shipping?

If you’re returning or exchanging an item because it doesn’t fit or you’ve simply changed your mind, you’ll cover the cost of sending it back to us.

If the item arrives damaged or we’ve made a mistake with your order, we’ll cover the return postage and make things right.

When and how will I receive my refund?

Once we receive and inspect your return, we’ll process your refund within 2–5 business days. The refund will be sent back to your original payment method (credit card, PayPal, etc.).

Depending on your bank or payment provider, it can take a few extra days for the funds to show up in your account. We’ll email you as soon as your refund has been issued so you know it’s on the way.

How do I become a wholesale or reseller partner?

We’d love to work with you! Simply reach out to us at orders@madeformuffs.com.au with your business details (store name, ABN if applicable, and where you plan to sell). We’ll send you our wholesale information and next steps.

What are your wholesale minimums, pricing & terms?


Our standard wholesale opening order minimum is 10 units.

Pricing available on request.

We require prepayment for your first 3 orders, and can offer 30-day account terms once we’ve built an ongoing relationship.
